For the past 15 years, a small number of around three individuals per year have been able to spend quality time at Windgrove as Windgrove Residents
Whether studio artists, writers, musicians, social or environmental activists, the unique opportunity to have a fairly undisturbed one week to two month period of reflective research has benefited many.
In exchange for two hours daily work in the veggie garden or elsewhere, as well as helping prepare the shared evening meal, the Windgrove Resident gets room and board with no obligation to “produce” anything at the end of their stay other than to leave feeling inspired.
In keeping with the motto “Windgrove: A Refuge for Learning”, Windgrove as a venue for residential workshops is an excellent choice for groups of ten to twenty participants.
Past workshops have centred around Buddhist meditation, deep-ecology, eco-feminist leadership training, designing-in-nature, dance, Women’s Retreats, and, as corporate/staff annual gatherings.
The kitchen is of a semi-commercial grade. Sleeping indoors can be provided for ten people. Numerous tent sites are also available.
Day tours of Windgrove are readily available with advance permission.
School groups from primary to university are always free. For other groups or individuals, please contact Peter Adams via email for costs.
Soon to be offered will be a two night/ three-day Weekend Experience at Windgrove for two couples. This will include accommodation Friday and Saturday nights, all meals and private, guided tours of the home and studio of Peter Adams, interpretative walks around the Peace Garden and Gaia Evolution Walk, private beach access to Roaring Beach and the use of the tennis court.
